With the recent arrival of this adorable decorative tape, I have been brainstorming ideas of how to use it in different ways. First of all, you have to see for yourself, that it comes in so many great patterns, it makes me want to tape everything I encounter. The packaging is even so clever! It comes with a plastic serrated edge mounted right on it {yes, plastic… not like those sharp metal ones} and makes for a nice clean edge.

The tape that you see above gives the option to work with a great colour palette, so I had a lot of fun putting this one together for a garden bridal shower {or that’s the idea I was going for}. From the invitation, to place cards or sealing up the envelopes, this decorative tape comes in handy for so many uses. It perfectly adds a pop of colour or pattern to your solid colour paper layers. Especially if you plan on doing a lot of the work yourself, this took me very little time. If you or your bridesmaids are tech savvy, we can take care of cutting all of the layers of paper to size for you if you wanted to print them. Just imagine how amazing these would look with custom calligraphy! That’s something that we can accommodate for with our in-house calligrapher who does an amazing job! {To see her work, come into the store and check it out.}

Today we are focusing on rustic themed weddings, where burlap, wood grain and subtle pops of greens and yellows have a beautiful love affair called your wedding! For anyone who hasn’t started an inspiration board, let this one be a starting point. The use of tree stumps can be used for a lot of different decor ideas, whether it’s on your tables as centre pieces, or a beautiful display by your guest table. Incorporating different textures like, burlap or lace add feminine touches if you wanted to soften the look as well. Those are a few things that come to mind when I envision a rustic themed wedding, what do you see?
